DO NOT over fill
DO NOT use inside a tent or in an unventilated enclosed space.
I find the easiest way to light is dip a dry twig in the alcohol, light that point or drop that into the burner. Don't go trying to shove a flaming cigaret lighter into the bowl of the sprit burner. Doing so it one way of knocking a flamming burner of alcohol over.
Cleaning your Trangia.
Prevention is better than cure, so wipe up spills before they are burn on and pay attention so to avoid burning your food to the pans. DO NOT CLEAN IN A DISHWASHER. This can ruin the surface of the aluminium pans pitting the surface. Also avoid the use of metal scourers, use detergent, cloths, synesthetic scourers and elbow grease.
