Bacon & Eggs Butty or Muffin ("Ham & Eggs" for my colonial brothers & sisters.)

A favorite breakfast when facing a busy day, full of protine and calories.  A bacon and egg butty or muffin will set you up for the day.

Ingredients

A bread roll or muffin.
A slice of processed cheese
One egg
A slice of bacon (Smoked Hmmm)
A splash of cooking oil.

Method

Fry the bacon in the frying pan, slowly, slowly to cook the fat through.
Fry the egg beside the cooked bacon until cooked.
Heat the bread roll or muffin on top of the bacon, or remove the pan and toast over the trangias burner.
I stick mine on a fork to do that.
Then assemble.

See this video.

An egg carrier (available on ebay or amazon) make this a real possibility when trail or camping.  Cured bacon and cheese will one or two days in a back pack in cool conditions.

Some people (often from Scotland) make porridge just with water and salt.
